Holy Cross Wedding & St Charles Preparatory School Reception
The Big Day
I always look forward to the winter months when the holidays come and I have a few weeks of down time, however putting together this blog really made me miss weddings. A break is nice, but I love my job and miss it! Can’t wait for my 2019 season to start!
Kristen and Bryan got married in one of my very favorite Catholic churches in Columbus Ohio, Holy Cross Church. With a little help of google I just found out that the church was built in 1848 (that is 170 years old for those of you who aren’t quick at math), just as Irish immigrants began to arrive in Columbus to escape the Great Famine. Following their beautiful ceremony, a reception was held at St. Charles Preparatory School, I got to capture touching toasts by family and fun dancing with friends and family.
How did he/she propose?
Bryan made dinner at home on a random Monday evening. When I got home, the kitchen was all set up, music was playing and candles were lit. He waited until after dinner to ask me and because Bryan does cook sometimes, I actually didn’t see it coming. It was perfect because I don’t like a lot of attention in public and three days later we were traveling back to Ohio for the holidays so we were able to celebrate with my family.
