The Ohio Statehouse Wedding {Sarah & Zach}

Ohio Statehouse Wedding {Sarah & Zach}

The Big Day

Meet Sarah & Zach (also referred to as Barbie & Ken) although if you personally know these two you know there is so much more to them than their good looks.  I really enjoy getting to know all my clients as friends and they were no exception.  I loved seeing the way Zach treated Sarah, the way he looked at her, the way Sarah laughed and how she looked so comforted when she was in his arms.  Sarah is one of those people that makes you feel like you’ve been friends forever and Zach is that guy that would give you his shirt off his back.

The day started with Sarah getting ready at the salon she works at, B Rose Salon (what a cute place).  Sarah and all her besties had the whole place to themselves!  A beautiful ceremony followed in Gahanna Ohio at the Peach Lutheran Church with the reception immediately following at The Ohio Statehouse.  So many wonderful vendors were included in their day (make sure you check out that list at the bottom of this post) but the ladies at Aisle & Co went above and beyond to make sure everything flowed, everyone was taken care of and no detail missed.  Such a classy reception with the sweetest toasts from their best friends, a live band and a great dance floor with some great dance moves.

The Couple

How did you two meet?

Zach moved to Lexington to attend  University of Kentucky where he met my brother Chris, and his now wife Alexa (  MOH ). After they graduated and moved back to Columbus, Alexa played match maker, and long story short–  here we are 🙂

How long have you been together?

We have been together since October 12, 2014

How did he/she propose?

For Christmas one year, Zach surprised me with a trip to Portland, Oregon!  A place that has been on my bucket list for as long as I can remember. Fast forward to April, we’re in Oregon soaking in its beauty at the Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival. Fields beyond fields of yellow, red, pink, white, you name the color and it was there, with the mountains looking down. Just breathtaking. Before I know it, Zach is on one knee & I’m suddenly the happiest girl alive.

What do you love to do together?

Residing in German Village where we bought our first home in July, we love spending time in our neighborhood. Strolling through the brick streets to Schiller Park & our favorite coffee shops ( hopefully with a pup in the picture, soon 😉 ). Entertaining family & friends in our home is so important to us, we love creating memories and traditions here. Traveling the world in the mean time and crossing off our bucket list — one adventure at a time!

Love Notes

If you could pick one word that describes you as a couple, what would it be?

balanced

What do you love most about her?

Her passion for life and her love for people, especially our families and friends.

What you do love most about him?

How can I choose just one!? His love for family, friends and anyone close to him is so strong and admiring. He would truly do anything for the people he loves. The biggest heart I know, and the most beautiful blue eyes I have ever seen, to go with it.
